Pull up a deck chair or roll a log on over. If you're reading this, you're already on the short list.
Since 1988
It started with two father-and-son teams and a couple of tents.
J Knepper pitched camp on Deep Creek with a handful of men, a fire pit, and a borrowed idea: that Alaska does something to a person. Almost forty years later, that camp is a riverfront lodge, raised log by log by volunteers, friends, and family who kept showing up.
"My resume is my family."
The proof
2,500+
guests hosted at the Fishcamp since 1988, and a seat by the fire still waiting for you.
What a week here actually is
Everything's handled. You just show up with a license and a willingness to get a little wet.
All meals, all week
Breakfast bar, a box lunch for the boat, dinner most nights around a shared table, often outside. A little scripture tucked in your lunch box and a card on your birthday, whether you asked for one or not. That's the Fishcamp way.
Gear & fish, handled
Rods, reels, waders, and tackle included. We process and box your catch, up to 50 lb, so the fish makes it home before you do.
There is no clock
Sleeps eight, four rooms, two per room. If the fish are running at midnight, we go. If it's 80°, we eat outside. Your week bends to you.
Summer 2026
Here's how the summer is shaping up.
Most of our weeks are held for returning families and ministry groups. The open ones are first-come, so tell us which you have your eye on.
Worried about getting there?
It's easier than it looks. Fly into Anchorage, and we handle the last leg.
One short hop to Kenai (we pick you up) or a scenic drive. We'll map your whole route with you.
Let's hold your week.
Tell us when you're dreaming of and who's coming. A real person, probably a Knepper, will confirm within two days.
